Brad Pitt: Can He Ever Return To The Spotlight After Angelina Jolie Divorce

After a decade in the spotlight together as Hollywood’s “it” couple, some really thought Brangelina would last forever. Alas, that wasn’t the case! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s high-profile divorce, the proceedings of which began four months ago, is very real.

And yet, it’s not nearly turning out as bad as some thought it might. That is thanks, in large part, to the actors themselves. Both Pitt and Jolie have been very cautious about treading the spotlight, knowing that every little thing is watched by the media. What’s going on now, though?

A Surprise Appearance

For Brad Pitt, it was only a matter of time before he was obliged to show up in a formal capacity. He’s been ditching appearances for his films Voyage of Time and Allied in order to focus on his “family situation”, according to Vanity Fair.

But during the Golden Globes, he finally showed up to present the film Moonlight. His appearance came as a surprise to most of the personalities present; he had not even walked the red carpet. But when Pitt stepped onto the stage, he was nonetheless greeted with a huge round of applause and cheers. And when he spoke, it was to talk about the film, not Jolie or his personal life.

Is making it back to the public eye an easy thing, after the huge waves churned by his divorce? Probably not. But by taking nice and slow, Brad Pitt is looking alright.

He also managed to show up for the Rock4EB! Charity event last weekend, introducing Chris Cornell onstage. The benefit funds research by the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.

An Amicable Divorce

Jolie is no less astute when it comes to walking in the spotlight. Like Pitt, she has spent the last four months mostly under the radar. But as far as the details of their divorce go, the two seemed to have reached an agreement that things will stay clean – at least to the public. A joint statement to the Associated Press shared that their divorce would proceed in a private forum.

This seems to be for the benefit of their six children. Up until that joint statement was released, both parties found disagreements on details such as the privacy of their custody agreement. Pitt even accused Jolie of publicizing private information about their kids.
