5TION is a Korean boy group that was active during the early 2000s. Their group name is pronounced as “ocean”, a word play for number 5, which is “oh” in Hangul. The group currently has four members: Roy, Noa, Len, and Marine. 5TION was originally a ballad group but changed to dance pop so that they can reach a wider audience.

The 5TION car crash happened when the group was on the way to Osaka after a concert in Nagoya. After finishing their event, the group and their manager traveled to Osaka on Jan. 15 for their next concert. On the way, their car slipped on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went out of control and then crashed on a truck in front of them.
Immediately after the accident, the members and their manager were rushed to hospital. 5TION’s agency, JT Corea Entertainment, stated that they are adjusting the Osaka concert.
“5TION and their manager were sent to the nearest hospital and are currently being examined. We still don’t have news on how serious the injuries are. Because we prioritize the members’ health, we will adjust the schedule of the Osaka concert,” a representative said.
Fans Are Hoping For The Best
Fans were excited when 5TION came back after their disbandment back in 2006. The group came back with a new lineup and the members’ stage names changed to consider foreign fans. Their latest single, My Valentine, was released on Nov. 27, 2016.
After the 5TION car crash news circulated on the internet, fans took to social media to express their concerns for the group. Many wished the group better health and they also thanked the agency’s consideration for the members’ health. Some were worried for the members and hoped that 5TION’s case will not be like what happened to Ladies’ Code. The latter group suffered a fatal car crash back in 2014, which caused the death of two members Rise and EunB.
