Rick and Morty Season 3 was to premiere on Jan. 9. But the fans got immediately disappointed when co-creator Justin Roiland revealed that the show was not going to premiere. After all, we have been waiting so long for the next season of the adventures of Rick and Morty.
So here we are again, still speculating on. When will we get to see the crazy adventures of the genius but weird Rick Sanchez and his grandson, Morty? The “sneak peek” released on Dec. 15 showed a variety of plots, including Rick’s imprisonment, Morty’s sex life, and a reference to Star Wars.
Rick and Morty Season 3 shows Rick’s break out from prison
The sneak peek didn’t show this, but we might see Rick’s break out from prison in the earlier episodes of Rick and Morty Season 3. We know that he was imprisoned by the end of Season 2. So, it’s curious to see him in strange adventures when he was supposed to be jailed. The episode showing Rick in these adventures with Morty will probably be shown in Episode 6. This was evident on the production code in the upper-left hand corner of the clip. Without revealing too much about this particular plot, it is safe to say that Rick will escape from prison in Episode 1 or 2.
Rick will be living as a pickle
In another clip, we saw Rick being literally shrunk down into a tiny pickle. He will be living his life without arms and legs with the help of Morty, we hope. But being a genius, of course, Rick will be using insect legs and his intuition to defeat a pack of rats.
Rick is turning emotional
The end of Season 2 left us in a bit of cliffhanger. After all, Rick turned himself over to the authorities, so that the Galactic Federation will not hunt down his remaining family members. This was purely sentimental for the often cynical Rick and Morty.
It is curious to see not only how Rick managed to escape a maximum-security prison in space, but also how he will treat his family from here on. Of course, in Rick and Morty Season 3, we might finally see Morty morphing into the teenager he should be—complete with love and sex life issues.
