It looks like ABC is going to make its viewers wait for some more time till they bring their most loved shows out. The most popular ones Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder (HTGAWM) are going to come out on a later date. The shows were intended to be out by Jan. 19.
The new schedule will now begin starting Jan. 26. The delay is because of pre-inauguration 20/20 special airing on ABC News. Winter premieres of Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away with Murder and Season 6 of Scandal will only release with a delay.
ABC Television Network and Shonda Rhimes Solid Connection
ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey says that she would love to keep Scandal on the network as long as Shonda Rhimes wants it. Dungey says, “I know already that she has some great ideas for next season, which will be season seven. We have not really talked about what will happen after that. But I love the show and I would happily keep the show on as long as she feels that she has creative runway to write the show,” reports Variety.

Scandal is not the only show that speaks of Rhimes and ABC alliance. Grey’s Anatomy is another hit show on the network which is currently on the 13th Season. Dungey says that there is no limitation to how many shows Rhimes could potentially have on the network.
Change in ABC’s Thursdays Schedule
The head honcho of ABC says that the Thursday schedule of the network is in the works. Dungey says, “The truth of the matter is we’ve kind of been spinning things mostly around Thursday. There certainly is an opportunity for us to pepper them throughout the schedule.”
Other than Rhimes’ show, another one coming on the network from Liz Tuccillo. Rhimes has two more projects in development at ABC- a legal drama and a comedy from Tuccillo.
